Certification Criteria Overview:

Method for Obtaining the Certificate:

Companies can directly contact the authorized domestic entity or IHSA. If they contact IHSA, IHSA will direct them to the authorized certifying bodies in their respective countries. After any certification process is complete, the domestic certifying body will immediately inform IHSA of the certification

IHSA Authorizes Other Entities to Issue Certification:

IHSA has determined the definition of hydrogen products, the standard of measuring, and the estimated minimum dose (see here). However, the IHSA organization does not directly issue certifications, but does authorize other entities to issue certifications under IHSA criteria. Each organization will use its own certifying mark to indicate the certification. Additionally, the IHSA logo can be used to clarify the endorsement by IHSA only on the sheet that indicated the certification, but not directly on the H2 products.

Certifying Entities:

All authorized entities will be on the website to show that they are recognized/authorized certifying bodies. The following entities were approved by IHSA to provide certifications according to the IHSA standards:

  • JHyPA (Japanese Molecular Hydrogen Promotion Association)

  • H2 Analytics (USA)
